Roberta Altstadt

Vice President of Operations and Marketing

Roberta joined Crimeline in October of 2006. Her prior experience in broadcast journalism made her a perfect fit as she headed the effort to turn previous Crimeline training material into engaging and informative online courses. Roberta has researched, designed and developed content for all the courses currently available through Crimeline. She also designed and developed our Officer's Field Guide: Validating ID & Currency, among other resource guides. She crafts courseware to give users a dynamic and interactive experience, while still providing content in a straighforward manner that is easy to understand. Roberta also heads our other product development and operations through Whitlock Training Group Corporation.

Broadcast Journalism Expert

Prior to joining the Crimeline team, Roberta spent 16+ years in broadcast journalism culminating with her position as Executive Producer and Interim News Director at KATU-TV in Portland, Oregon. As a newsroom leader Roberta worked closely with producers, reporters and photographers to craft broadcasts and news content that impacted the lives of area viewers. Under her leadership, the station achieved many honors and awards including Overall Excellence, Best Newscast, Best Breaking News and Best Continuing Coverage from various broadcast groups. She also led the KATU news department in the transistion from a tape to digital news operation.

Before her tenure at KATU-TV, Roberta worked at KGW-TV and KPTV in Portland. Prior to that, she worked in the Eugene broadcast news market at stations KEZI-TV and KMTR-TV.
