Eric R. Epperson

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Eric is COO of Crimeline. He joined Crimeline in August of 2006 and brings more than 30 years experience in executive management, motion picture production, international law and financial planning to Crimeline. Eric’s financial expertise combined with his background producing interactive and compelling content lend themselves well to Crimeline’s innovative approach to e-learning.

Eric began his career in international law and financial planning. He has served as Sr. Tax Manager with PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte & Touche, Manager of International Tax Department with Del Monte Corporation and International Analyst with Bechtel Corporation. During his distinguished career in international finance, Eric built and managed international tax departments, planned mergers and acquisitions involving hundreds of millions of dollars, and provided counsel on international law and financial planning.

Since 1989, Eric has focused his management and financial planning expertise mostly within the motion picture and entertainment industries. He has held executive-level positions with both corporations and non-profit organizations including positions as Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer, President and Executive Director. As Executive Director of the non-profit Oregon Trail Foundation, he was instrumental in developing a plan for a $65,000,000 Interpretive Center commemorating the end of the Oregon Trail. Eric has also produced television, concert and full-length feature films. Among his film production credits include the feature films Dream Machine, Lakeboat, Morgan’s Ferry and Without Evidence. His concert co-production credits include The Rainbow Tour forMariah Carey and Fly Tour for the Dixie Chicks.

Eric recently led a team which developed and designed the world’s first ‘mixed-use’ super green LEED Platinum building. “LEED Platinum” is the US Green Building Council’s highest award for “Leadership in Energy and Environment Design” (LEED).

Accounting and Tax Planning Speaker, Author and Instructor

Eric has been a speaker on finance, accounting and tax planning for various government, educational, civic and charitable organizations. He has been an accounting instructor at Brigham Young university Professional School of Accounting and authored or co-authored publications related to tax reform and accounting.
