Senior Fraud and Street Fraud Expert

Mark is a retired 26-year veteran of the Portland Police Bureau. In his last 15 years of service he served as a fraud detective and established the Portland Police Bureau’s unit for Senior Citizen Fraud and Financial Abuse. This unit continues to function today with the mission to protect seniors against financial exploitation and abuse.

While at the Portland Police Bureau Mark also served as a Board of Police Standards Certified fraud and white-collar crime instructor. He taught at both the Portland Police Bureau state-wide Detectives Academy and the Portland Police Academy.

Senior Fraud and Street Fraud Investigator and Court-certified expert

Since retiring in 1999, Mark put his expertise in senior fraud and white-collar crime to work as a fraud investigator, instructor and expert witness. He has seven years of experience investigating insurance fraud for a major national insurance company. He is also a sought after instructor and is a court-certified expert in senior citizen fraud and street fraud identification and investigation.

This background gives him a unique understanding of the impact of fraud and street crimes for individual victims, businesses and law enforcement.
