Ed has more than thirty-one years of combined law enforcement and private sector business and investigative experience.
In the public sector Ed has worked high profile cases with the FBI, US Postal Inspection Service, US Secret Service, Clark County Sheriff's Office & Vancouver Police Department. As a member of the Vancouver, Washington Police Department's Major Crimes Unit/White Collar Crimes, Ed successfully spearheaded large and complicated investigations into cases involving organized crime, identity theft, insurance and investment fraud, Internet fraud, corporate and non-profit embezzlement.
His private sector experience includes management positions as Regional Security Director, Human Resources Manager and Operations Manager with national retailers in the cities of Fresno, Tacoma, Seattle, Honolulu, Phoenix, Las Vegas and Portland-Vancouver. He also has hotel and gaming industry experience in Las Vegas.

Ed is an expert on identity theft, Internet crime and other types of fraud. He combines his experience, knowledge and job enthusiasm to speak at such recent venues as the Oregon and Washington Governor's Occupational Safety & Health Conferences, the National White Collar Crime Center's Economic Crime Conference, Northwest Fraud Investigator's Conference, Southern Oregon Financial Fraud and Security Team Conference and many others.
He is currently available for speaking presentations on identity theft, Information Breaches, Internet crime, Elder Fraud and Non-profit crime.

Ed is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and an adjunct instructor for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center & the Multijurisdictional Counterdrug Taskforce Training Center and has received commendations for his work from the FBI, US Postal Inspection Service, US Secret Service, Clark County Sheriff's Office and Vancouver Police Department.
